7 Must-Have Android Apps for 2018
Speaking of a few must-have apps for Android, we must first admit that with play store’s catalog of 3.5 million apps, selecting merely 5 or 7 apps is a complex task. Besides, everybody’s tastes and priorities differ. I have chosen the list of top 7 apps based on what I believe can make our everyday life easy. Most of these apps, in my opinion, should be useful for everyone and hence, can be called as must-have apps. Here’s the list:
1. CircleBack Contact Manager: The app is free to use and helps to effectively manage my phone’s address book- a common need for each android holder I believe. The app keeps my contacts de-duplicated and maintains a centralized contact list by amassing contact information from sources like Google, Twitter, Exchange, Outlook, and others with user’s consent. Additionally, it fetches latest contact updates and also helps in completing missing contact information. It also captures email signatures to add to my contact list, and offers business card scanning. It has made my life easy by offering me clean and up-to-date contact data, all in one place. The second tool I would recommend is LastPass.
2. LastPass Password Manager: A feature-rich password manager that locks my passwords and personal information in a secure vault. It auto-populates web browser and app logins and generates new, secure passwords instantly. The best part is I simply need to remember one password for my LastPass login and the rest will be taken care of. This is a real productivity hack for me- I am completely relieved of the task of remembering all my tricky passwords. Another good tool I would suggest is Evernote.
3. Evernote: A note-taking cross-platform utility app that helps me to keep everything in one place. Using this app, I can capture, organize and share notes from anywhere and can enhance my notes with links, checklists, attachments and audio recordings. I can write ideas for projects, create to-do lists etc, and can save important articles and emails. Also, I can easily find things when I need them fast with its powerful search function. I believe this is one of the essential Android apps for every user. Yet another useful tool is WPS Office..
4. WPS Office: It is an all in one free office suite on android mobile and tablets. The app integrates all office word processor functions: Word, Spreadsheet, Memo, PDF, Presentation, and Docs Scanner, and is fully compatible with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google doc and PDF format. The app supports 51 languages and all office file formats, and offers cloud storage integration options such as Dropbox, Google Drive, and OneDrive. Besides creating and saving documents, we all need to scan documents every now and then, and TinyScanner can be a good solution.
5. TinyScanner: With TinyScanner, I can scan any type of document and save them as an image file or as PDF. The app offers a variety of scanning features. Also, it allows me to secure my personal docs with a passcode, and I can also optimize the app to run fast. The scanned files can be named, organized and shared by email, and can be stored in DropBox, Google Drive etc. Speaking of files, Xender is a good tool for file sharing.
6. Xender: File sharing can be real smooth with Xender. It allows me to transfer any file from documents, music, pictures to videos and apps without the need for internet, cables or data usage. Cross-platform transfer and sharing are supported between Android, iOS, and Windows PC/Mac operating systems. The app supports multiple languages and can also play music and videos. Finally, the last app I would suggest is Google Maps for our day-to-day travel.
7. Google Maps: The app is designed for real-time GPS navigation. It offers street maps, satellite view, real-time traffic info, route information for traveling by foot, car, bicycle and so on. It has helped me on many occasions to reach unknown places. For me, it’s an absolute must.
In addition to this, you can also add to your list Snapseed, Kinemaster and Feedly. With these, I think I have covered almost all the must-have apps that make my day-to-day life easy. Hope you find this list of apps helpful. Do share your views in the comments section below.
